Does an even slightly off-key note have you grabbing your ears? Then a career as a Front of House Engineer should sound pretty good to you. Using your highly tuned ear for music, and technical knowledge and experience with sound equipment and technology, you’re the one making sure the band sounds their best at the show. Check, check!

Power-hungry? Then a career as an LED Technician is for you. This role is responsible for electrical rigging, video screens, props, and more. You’ll literally go to great heights to help keep the show running at full power.

If you’re afraid of the dark in all the best ways possible, you’re ready to be a Lighting Director. This pivotal person is responsible for operating the lighting console, directing spotlight cues, and bringing their creative thinking and natural rhythm to lighting plots for the show.

Before the crowd can hear the music correctly, the performers must be able to hear themselves and each other. That’s where the Monitor Engineer comes in. You’ll use your ear for audio and mind for technology to work directly with the artists to make sure they can hear everything perfectly.

Are you that friend who takes charge when weekend plans are on the line? You’re a natural-born Production Manager. No show runs without this role as you‘ll create and distribute schedules and riders, be the main contact for all vendors, and make sure all production needs are met.

If you’ve ever enjoyed seeing a show (not just listening to it), you have the Technical Director to thank. Working closely with the production team, including the sound and lighting engineers, stage managers, and performers, they ensure all technical elements of the show are executed flawlessly.

Looking for a way to push your love of music and your passion for technology together? A career as a Video Programmer might be the way to go. You’ll work closely with the design team to program the computers and integrate video, audio, and lighting cues to produce the show.

If a musician plays a note and no one can hear it, is it really music? As a Sound Technician you’ll make sure that never happens. You’ll be responsible for operating and setting up audio equipment, such as mixing consoles, speakers, and microphones, to ensure high-quality sound for all to hear.
